Gardenstown's idyllic location certainly does not mean that it is difficult to get to. Far from it, the village is very well served by road, rail and air. The A947 is the most direct route from Aberdeen. From Inverness the A98 to Banff is the best route. Once you get to Banff, follow the signs for Fraserburgh (A98), which will take you through Macduff. When you leave Macduff take the first turning on the left to Gardenstown, (B9031). The Garden Arms Hotel is just off the High Street.
