http://northmobilegardensociety.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 14, 2012. Out with the Old and in with the Older! When we moved into this house, I knew I wanted to find an old farm sink to replace the one that was there. I knew. The place to get that farm sink too! A few weeks prior to this photo I had made the trip to Andalusia, Alabama to Sweet Gum Bottom Antiques. And picked up my farm sink.and a few other goodies :-). We'll get to those goodies later. Apparently it was more ready to go than I realized. Hot water was gushing out everywhere! I haven...

Trials & Tribulations of a Southern Gardener: March 2012
http://northmobilegardensociety.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Mobile Historic Tour of Homes - Oakleigh. Is one of Mobile's most historic houses. It was built in 1833 and became a museum in 1955. The house was built by James Roper. He borrowed $20,000 from the government to buy the property, build the house, purchase slaves and farm equipment. He was a cotton farmer, and also owned a brick company. I'm not sure how these bricks got into this tree.but I thought it was pretty neat. I have heard of that during various wars throughout hi...She w...

Wednesday, September 28, 2011. I am making some changes to the page, and having internet issues at the same time which equates to a whole lotta fun! Don't mind the progess. Posted by Dirt Princess. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. So I've been doing some thinking. Since I currently don't have a garden.what's the point of having a garden blog? Newer posts →. Dreary Times for Gardeners? November 28, 2012. Winter can get long here in the North. I begin missing my flowers in Fall, but I’ glad that I am still able to enjoy the outdoors. Thursday, April 25, 2013. Fertilizer Friday 4.26.13. I am joining Tootsie today for Fertilizer Friday. I will kick things off with a splash of color. I'm not sure what this is to be honest with you. I think it is some type of azalea? I dunno. It is old. It has been here forever. I have been making new flower beds. The Dirt Queen (aka my mom) and the Hydrangea Queen (aka my buddy) have been giving me lots of plants. I don't have enough beds made to plant them in yet. The area in front of the shed will eve...

Trials & Tribulations of a Southern Gardener: Planning a Nursery.....
http://northmobilegardensociety.blogspot.com/2013/04/planning-nursery.html
Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Kind of nursery.this kind of nursery. A baby nursery. When I found out I was pregnant I would look at all the boy/girl stuff. There is a million times more stuff for girls than there is for boys! As many options as there are for girls, I could not find a single baby bedding set that I liked. I really didn't know if I would ever find anything I liked. I had a vision in my head of how I wanted her nursery to be, and I had to make that work. The angel wings came from Bella Cottage.
