We create and maintain gardens to provide free, locally grown food and deliver health, education and economic benefits to residents of Oxford County, Maine. We also promote social interactions and provide opportunities for multi-cultural and inter-generational connections. In 2015, as a grassroots effort, we distributed over 19,000 pounds of fresh produce to individuals, families, food pantries and schools. This success led to the formation of. GGHC volunteers maintain three gardens in Oxford County, Maine. Details about the new Park Street Garden at 197 Park Street in South Paris can be found on the "Get Involved" tab. The third garden is located at the Maine Veterans' Home at 477 High Street in South Paris. This garden was started in 2009 by Master Gardener Volunteers and also joined GGHC in 2016. The produce grown here is for the residents, their families and staff of the Veterans' Home.
