It always made me mad when someone would tell me that. I was a young Mom (21) and either I felt like they were taking away time I hadn't even had yet or I was rebelling against "older" people telling me yet another thing I didn't want to hear. Jack is never in trouble (not counting the NOT eliminating on leash) and while we're on our walks he is never that far from me and always makes a round back to check in.
