Prayin' For Rain

http://www.gardenonraymond.blogspot.com/2011/06/this-first-picture-was-taken-may-24.html

Thursday, June 9, 2011. This first picture was taken May 24, 2011. In the far left bed, next to the deck, we have several varieties of tomatoes, and also strawberries. The middle bed has different types of peppers, all hot! The bed on the right has brussels sprouts, nasturtiums, radishes, beets and purple carrots. The bed in the front has zucchini and yellow squash, peppers, stevia, and savory. We also have a couple blueberry bushes and two kiwi plants. Lilies from the back yard. My husband works from ho...

Prayin' For Rain: The Tomatoes Keep Coming!

http://www.gardenonraymond.blogspot.com/2011/07/tomatoes-keep-coming.html

Tuesday, July 12, 2011. The Tomatoes Keep Coming! While I was taking these, I felt a "slap-slap" on my legs, looked down, and Cora was cheesing for the camera! We are picking every other day now, sometimes every day. We've had several thunderstorms lately, which is helping and hurting. We've had a lot of split cherry tomatoes from all the rain, which seems like a lot of waste, but I guess you can't really get around it. Our total thus far: 24 lbs. and 4 oz! I can't believe it's so much! 2 1/2 cups water.

Dancing In The Rain: September 2012

http://dubnlori.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Dancing In The Rain. Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass but learning to dance in the rain. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. This recipe intrigued me from the moment I saw it on Pinterest. I finally tried it, and it was so good! I split the recipe and cooked one pan for dinner, and put the other in the freezer. We polished off a whole pan, which is unusual for us. Hope you enjoy if you decide to try it! 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded. 1 tablespoons canola oil. I strive...

Dancing In The Rain. Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass but learning to dance in the rain. Monday, January 30, 2012. Adventures in San Francisco. We flew to San Francisco last weekend. Weldon had some business meetings to attend there and we tagged along. After our flight being delayed by several hours, we got to San Fran around 2:30 Monday morning. Thankfully we had a straight flight from D.C., and the girls slept most of the way. We spent 4 hours there, including lunch. At this age, we lik...

Dancing In The Rain. Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass but learning to dance in the rain. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. He's 6 Days Old. Dirk Alan Stogsdill was born last Thursday, May 17th, at 12:37 PM. He was 7 lb., 3 oz. and was 19 inches long. They quickly escalated to 2 minutes apart and by the time we got to the hospital, I couldn't walk or talk through them. It did go down, and after Dirk was born, I felt better than I had in days! Dancing In The Rain. Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass but learning to dance in the rain. Saturday, November 26, 2011. Migraines and morning sickness. Are not conducive to blogging often! I have wanted to blog, but finding the mental energy over the last couple months has been tough. I hope to have more energy going forward, both mental and physical. I just started my second trimester, and have been feeling a little better over the last week or so. Still not great, but better.

Dancing In The Rain. Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass but learning to dance in the rain. Wednesday, April 4, 2012. 8 years in the making. Well, here is a finished project that we have been enjoying for a few months now! I pieced the top of this quilt during the winter of 2003. I'm not sure why I didn't finish it then; I had a LOT more free time than I do now! The back is long strips of the same fabrics on the front, so it is reversible. This past Saturday dawned gray and chilly, but we decided to go ahead and partake of a local event that has grown rather large. The corn dogs and funnel cakes were yummy, as was the old-fashioned root beer! Here are some pictures from the time:. Gracie got to shoot a musket. Cora- stealing some of Grandad's lemonade. Gracie loved the ferris wheel! Friday, September 16, 2011.

Dancing In The Rain. Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass but learning to dance in the rain. Monday, August 29, 2011. We're Okay- Sort Of. In the last week, we have survived a 3,000 mile trip, an earthquake, and a hurricane! Oh, and a toddler with fever for 4 days! And now, I'm down with a cold and a sore throat! Our power went out Saturday evening right before I started warming up dinner. So, we had soup warmed on the grill, and biscuits toasted in a skillet on the grill! Sunday morning, the ...

I would like to get back to posting on a blog on a regular basis. I'm not sure if I even have readers anymore, but for several reasons, I would like to be blogging again! I would like to blog on our family blog, the garden one, and I will also be running a blog for my Etsy shop that I run with my sister. We'll see if I can handle it all!

Garden on the Edge. This blog is about gardening and nature, two subjects that are inherently intertwined.
