Because the content is often trivial, and I tend to overuse the word "Just". Sunday, August 21, 2011. You may or may not remember last year's Trip to the Mountains. We wanted to camp overnight at Big Basin, but we ended up packing up at 11pm and heading home with our screaming mad daughter and completely disappointed boys. It was time to attempt real camping again (more than a mere trip to the mountains), so last weekend we headed to the same spot for a one night stay. Glad it was fun. Soul Sista, part I.

He only went for an hour, but who's counting? He was pretty apprehensive ahead of time, but when we picked him up and we asked him how he felt about his time at school he exclaimed, "I LOVED it! I am LOVING the stage Caleb is in right now, where he is writing words according to the sounds he hears, but with little knowledge of advanced phonics. It's so cute to see him writing this way, especially when it is combined with his inexperience with writing in straight lines and using spaces between words.
