Gardener's Watch: January 2014

http://gardentimeline.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

I'm Jacob Royer and have been gardening all my life. I have found that time is all it takes to make gardening enjoyable. Sunday, January 19, 2014. The Winter time is a good time to plant onions. I've chosen a nice yellow onion and planted them in nice rows. I expect some of them not to make it, especially some of the smaller ones, but there are plenty of them that I don't think I will have to worry. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Some of the inside plants at the office have also felt the effects of the cold...

Gardener's Watch: December 2013

http://gardentimeline.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

I'm Jacob Royer and have been gardening all my life. I have found that time is all it takes to make gardening enjoyable. Monday, December 23, 2013. I've planted the snow pea seeds after they had a good freeze. Now we get to wait and see if they come up. The ground is plenty fertile and most of the other plants have died back now so there's little competition for nutrients. The only possible competitors would be the few carrots still sprouting up and growing. Sunday, December 15, 2013. The saffron just un...

Gardener's Watch: April 2014

http://gardentimeline.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

I'm Jacob Royer and have been gardening all my life. I have found that time is all it takes to make gardening enjoyable. Sunday, April 20, 2014. This little guy sits by a south facing window in a "V" shape. It gets morning and afternoon sun through a window that has pretty good UV protection, keeps the office cooler in the summer. At mid day it's in the shadow of the support for the windows as if it's hiding behind another tree which is just about perfect for him. For more progress see the update post.

Citraphile: September 2010

http://citraphile.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 12, 2010. Lemon and Kaffir Lime Trees. If you look at the Gardener's Watch blog ( http:/ gardentimeline.blogspot.com. My oldest, a lemon tree, sits in the back yard at the moment near the onion bed. It needs a little more sun and water than it has been getting so I might have to move it up front where the kaffir lime sits. There are other citrus plants in the area in other yards so there shouldn't be any problem with fruiting once it starts to flower. Posted by Jacob Royer.

JKA Designs: How did you make that?

http://jkadesignsblog.blogspot.com/2010/06/how-did-you-make-that.html

Tuesday, June 8, 2010. How did you make that? Ever since I first started selling my flower necklace at local craft shows in early spring, I have been asked the same question . how did you make that? Drum roll . and my answer is . Then I place the flower line drawing on top of a sheet of sterling silver and, using my favorite saw, I cut out the flower. After filing the edges, removing any scratches, and cleaning the silver I gave the flower a warm matte finish. Just Married with Coupons. Hope you can swin...

Thursday, December 8, 2011. Fall in France – A Villa in Provence. Recently we had the opportunity to visit some friends in Provence. Between Nice and Marseille. They live in a small village called Carces and are retired to a nice little villa there. We had heard quite a bit about this wonderful region of France and were looking forward to seeing what types of plants they grew there. We spent a day just getting over the jet lag from the flight, and then we started to explore the grounds. The one concern t...
