The stories of Dave, Laura, Brady, and our angel Heidi. Sunday, May 26, 2013. Dave had his big triathlon, The St. George Half Ironman, on Saturday, May 4. He did such a great job with his training putting in hundreds of hours and dropped 17 pounds! All his hard work paid off and he had a great race. It was a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride, followed by a half marathon (13.1 miles for you non-runners! My dad Popcan also did the race. A few weeks before Christmas, my Grandma Melville and I took the boys to the Christmas windows at the Grand America Hotel. They were really fun to see. This one with the ball maze was their favorite and we stood and watched it for a good 15 minutes. Every time he saw Santa, he would say "I want to go home! Want to eat it!

We moved to our new home in Kaysville on February 25, just 2 days before Tanner turned one. So, I didn't do much planning for his first birthday. It was such a busy, stressful time. He is just a precious little guy and we already love him so much! There's not much better than having a newborn in your home and we recognize that it truly is a blessing to have him arrive safely and to be so healthy. 2 last belly shot pictures, 38 weeks. I loved his curls and knew they would never be the same after cutting them. I took him to Cookie Cutters, where he did surprisingly well letting the hair dresser cut his hair.
