We arrived at the top of Masada a few minutes before the sun peaked over the mountains in Jordan on the other side of the Dead Sea. Here are some pictures of the view. After the sun came up, we explored the ruins, which were cooler than I remembered. In many places, frescos remain plastered to the wall, and mosaics remained on the floor.
