John & Rita Doherty. Where Do You Think You’re Going? Taking this work home to exhibit it somehow was important. I knew the participants would not travel to Dublin to see it. It was an important part of giving something back I suppose. Locations in the town included the local shops, the butcher shop, in bars and the local cafe.

Deirdre & Fran O. My Way (this is me). Where Do You Think You’re Going? Interpreting the word ‘invisible’, a word commonly used by older people about their place in society, is the basis of this body of work. Was also made, which documents some of these personal thoughts on growing older with fashion.

Where do you think youre going (12 mins). Where Do You Think You’re Going? This short film was made as part of an artist residency with Draíocht in West Dublin. Over a period of 15 months, I worked with a group of ten older people in the Dublin 15 area where I was extending my investigations into the idea of invisibility that many people feel as they age. I choose to look at fashion.
