Update Stating There's Not Much of an Update. If you keep up with the blog, you know that I do a lot of testing. I'm trying to find a new way for better links. Changes Still Affecting Sites. Google's major search engine results changes rolling out has changed the traffic being sent to PoemofQuotes. Quite a bit. Not only have many major keywords not been sending traffic but even minor keywords are down. The devaluation of certain links have definitely taken a huge toll on PoemofQuotes. It's Been More Like Sushi Than Bread. I originally announced the changes to PofQ. In April, but a lot has changed since then! I removed jQuery, which I originally planned to be a staple to the design. I changed some colors, making it darker and "pop" more. I removed the t-shirts. They weren't selling anyway. I might put them in a "shop" area someday. What I've noticed about the new design:. The navigation has caused some pagerank shift around the site. Yes, pagerank does still exist! If I haven't mentioned in the past, one of my websites, PoemofQuotes. Was banned from Digg. The website was marked as "spam" by the Digg staff for whatever reason (actually, some of the articles were submitted by someone under wrong categories and sought diggs from other users.
