15 Years of Fencing. Part of his or her entrance fee to help pay for Kaya’s cure. As the organization is quite complex we have postponed the event till July 2016 (till then we will keep on celebrating this great aniversary). Was founded in January 20oo. Its name, Vívás (pronounced vee-vasj), is a very appropriate term from the Hungarian language that literaly translates as ‘the fencing’. Kaya (who fences at fencing club Vivas) is part of the second trial in which the treatment is tested on patients in whom the disease is already further progressed. For Duchenne the search for a cure – through gene therapy or otherwise – is still ongoing. It may very well be that the LGMD2D-treatment will be of future relevance here too, who knows ….
