This site is facilitated by the Missouri Association of School Librarians’ Gateway Readers Award Committee. The goals of the Gateway Readers Award are the following:. To encourage Missouri young adults in grades nine through twelve to select and read quality literature that appeals to their needs, interests and reading levels. To recognize and honor outstanding works in young adult literature. To develop a cooperative relationship among schools, libraries and teens. The 2016-2017 Committee Members.

Get Involved with the Committee:. Volunteer to be a reader selector or one-year Committee member. Click here. To be considered for the 2017-2018 committee. Help choose the final 15 nominees by reading the 25 preliminary titles between the release of the preliminary list in mid-August through December 1st. Then they rate those titles on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best). Reader/Selectors can be anyone. Our Reader/Selector form is now open for the 2017-18 school year. Click here.
