Saturday, July 29, 2006. Live blogging the Promise Keepers conference pt 2. Friday night at Promise Keepers. We were led in worship by the PK7 band. Former president of NAMB, presented the Gospel in a powerful way from Luke 14:15-24. He said that there are 3 main things that keep us from God that are illustrated in the passage:. 1) Things to achieve. 2) Stuff to acquire. 3) Relationships that are holding us back. An Oklahoma preacher, Dwayne Blue (I wonder if Wade Burleson knows this guy) was arrested and fined for violating the town's noise ordinance during a tent revival. Read about it here. I can't stand these people who get so upset at Halloween. They think it's all about the devil and witches and goblins and bad things. That it teaches the kids all the wrong morals. Bull-cockey! Closing will be Dec 28th and moving day is Dec 31st. Sherry has a couple of good job prospects with the State of ALA doing alot of what she already does in her current job.
