EATinIreland: May 2008
http://eatinireland.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
These being the adventures of the intrepid members of Emerging Artists Theatre, NYC, at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. May the road rise up to meet you. And may you make it back to work on time today. That's one of the reasons I like theatre so much; you tend to be thrown into intense situations with all kinds of people and are forced to work together for a positive outcome. And when it happens (which it does quite a lot, really), you either love 'em or hate 'em...

EATinIreland: And we're back, 2013-style
http://eatinireland.blogspot.com/2013/05/and-were-back-2013-style.html
These being the adventures of the intrepid members of Emerging Artists Theatre, NYC, at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Monday, May 6, 2013. And we're back, 2013-style. And we’re back…in Ireland…2013 style! This is my fourth time at the festival; of Team “That’s Her Way,” it’s the second time for our leading lady, Danielle Quisenberry, and for our leading man, J.Stephen Brantley, whose play “Break” was presented at the IDGTF with my “The Advent...Year of the fest his last, and hand it over...

EATinIreland: Third time is the charm? But this is my fourth time!
http://eatinireland.blogspot.com/2013/05/its-raining-in-dublin-after-two.html
These being the adventures of the intrepid members of Emerging Artists Theatre, NYC, at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Third time is the charm? But this is my fourth time! It’s raining in Dublin, after two beautiful days. That’s good when you’re in the theatre, because beautiful, long days mean that people want to stay out, instead of going indoors to see a show. I won’t run through the litany…it extends nearly half a century. Each year, I find new ways to screw up.

EATinIreland: May 2009
http://eatinireland.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
These being the adventures of the intrepid members of Emerging Artists Theatre, NYC, at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Saturday, May 23, 2009. Not "goodbye" but "see you" to Dublin and this year's festival. Why do I feel like I'm at church? I wandered up George St. to the Dunnes Store, and picked up wine, pate, baguettes, a really cool chocolate cake, hummus, and sparkling juice. On my way back, I realized I hadn't had a pint of Guinness the whole week! The guitar player seemed to have a ...

These being the adventures of the intrepid members of Emerging Artists Theatre, NYC, at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Friday, May 9, 2014. Heading to Ireland again.under a different name! But it's still me. Seven years into it, going to Dublin in May. To quote myself: "Once I like something, I like it.". So with a different company, a different cast of characters, a different job, a different life than when I started, I'm returning to the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival. My lan...

EATinIreland: After the dancers' leaving, after the stars are gone...
http://eatinireland.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-clothes-are-scattered-round.html
These being the adventures of the intrepid members of Emerging Artists Theatre, NYC, at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Sunday, May 12, 2013. After the dancers' leaving, after the stars are gone. The clothes are scattered round the apartment waiting to be stuffed back into suitcases, and I’ve been making calls to confirm what time and where the Aircoach leaves from (and pondering just grabbing a cab tomorrow at 6am). The short plays of Brown and Out ranged from in-your-face satire, leading...

EATinIreland: Catching up with the boys & girls in Dublin
http://eatinireland.blogspot.com/2013/05/catching-up-with-boys-girls-in-dublin.html
These being the adventures of the intrepid members of Emerging Artists Theatre, NYC, at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Saturday, May 11, 2013. Catching up with the boys and girls in Dublin. It's early afternoon here with light streaming in the shiny apartment (interspersed with brief, violent showers), and actors getting ready…vocal exercises, keys tapping on the computer, a leisurely breakfast and signing many dozen postcards (look for them sometime next week). The conversations you have...
