Gatorbotics CAD Blog: Finished Corkscrew
http://gatorbotics-cad.blogspot.com/2009/02/finished-corkscrew.html
The official CAD blog of FIRST Team 1700. Sunday, February 1, 2009. We drew the corkscrew today in Solidworks. Here it is! It's 55 in. tall, 22 in. wide, and the inner corkscrew is offset by 4.5 in. We also made a bridge out of Balsa wood and a brush made out of sponge. Aren't we productive? Yeah, in class we're making this, so Allie and I were bored enough to make one in Solidworks! Good practice, though. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Changed design for the corkscrew.
Gatorbotics CAD Blog: Welcome!
http://gatorbotics-cad.blogspot.com/2009/02/welcome.html
The official CAD blog of FIRST Team 1700. Sunday, February 1, 2009. Welcome to the official blog of the Gatorbotics CAD team! We use Solidworks to design our robot for the FIRST Robotics Competition. This year, the competition Lunacy requires us to design a robot that picks up Wild Time Orbit Balls off a slick surface and deposit them in the trailer of an opposing alliance. So far, we have designed our chassis and have made some headway in the design of our elevation device, a corkscrew.

The official CAD blog of FIRST Team 1700. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Updates on Sadie. Enjoy! We've color-coded everything now, too. Sunday, February 15, 2009. So, the team has decided to name our robot Sadie in an almost unanimous vote. And this, as of today, is Sadie. Isn't she pretty? Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Monday, February 9, 2009. I ended the day by adding the corkscrew onto the chassis. The corkscrew, as we have it drawn and put together now, hangs over the side of the chassis but with ...
Gatorbotics CAD Blog: Never Mind
http://gatorbotics-cad.blogspot.com/2009/02/never-mind.html
The official CAD blog of FIRST Team 1700. Monday, February 9, 2009. So I tried to rearrange the base plate for the corkscrew to try and make the corkscrew stand directly over the chassis without hanging over the edges. After many attempts to fix this the corkscrew just hangs of the other edge even more than it did on the side it was on before. When Annie returns tomorrow we will work some more to fix this problem. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Changed design for the corkscrew.

Gatorbotics Team 1700: January 2011
http://gatorbotics-build.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Hardware / Coding Blog. Saturday, January 29, 2011. So close, yet so far. Today marks the end of week 3, beginning of week 4. Time is running out! However, this week we've made a lot of progress. In programming, after the wireless on Silverado was turned off properly, it finally communicated with the cRIO. After testing for buttons and axis for the wheel and the videogame controller, the programmer pairs revised their code. Luckily, all sets of code managed to move the wheels! Tobi - the random senior.

Annie headed the effort to start using a motor to actuate the cam. decided on a van door, will hopefully be testing today. Shifrah, sarah r, and lindsey worked on a prototype for pneumatics actuation with a gate hinge. shif cut wood in the shop during lunch and they'll be done with that soon. Anndini drilled holes in the 8020 for the better prototype of marvin.

Hardware / Coding Blog. Monday, January 16, 2012. An alarming day at Robotics! When we arrived at the lab today, we found that the fire alarms were being tested! Every couple of minutes, an alarm would go off, Victoria would do a crazed werewolf impression, and everybody else would moan about ringing ears. It wasn't the easiest place to work. Nevertheless, we continued on. After lunch, we finished our prototypes and the had our Design Review (thanks to all who came! Sunday, January 15, 2012. Conveyor bel...

Hardware / Coding Blog. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Who Knew You Could Prototype with Swiffers and Chocolate Bar Wrappers? The team is officially complete again and ready to get this season going! Anna and Sarah R. discussed the ramp. It soon became clear that the ramp will spring back to zero degrees when there is no weight on it; however the material with which the ramp is coated is still a mystery. Thursday, January 26, 2006. Here it is, hot off the press from Jen! Posted by HomogeneousTransform at 7:17 PM. Monday, January 23, 2006. Strategy Placemats for the Competition? So, I figure that this would cost on the order of . . . say $50-$75. Perhaps we could get Kinko's to donate / subsidize this and put their name on it. We could give every team a placemat with a non-permanent ink pen, as well as all the cool buttons and such that Jen's going to make! Food for thought,. Sunday, January 08, 2006.
Gatorbotics Web Team
Thursday, February 23, 2006. WE HAVE A WEBSITE! We had to make some changes to our plan, but I think our final product is definitely worth the 10 hours of website work per day during BREAK! We had some very ambitious goals that in the end didn't work out because it was just too complicated! So as a result the balls were booted which made it so that we weren't able to use Andrea's amazing flash! Which we loved but it was made for the older website design. Look at those colors go! Gator walks across screen...
