R and R Adventures. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Applying for new jobs. Another hospital has to be better-and safer-than mine. Ok, I'm sure there are worse places to work at, but.I'm tired.). I'm tired of six patients when I should have four. And should I mention I'm orienting a brand new RN to the hospital? Me, who has only been at the hospital for 7 months). I'm tried of patients saying to me, "Are you the only one working here? Or "Don't you have a nursing aide" or "Shouldn't your tech be doing this?

Thursday, July 29, 2010. We had a recent windfall! After doing some research (that I probably should have done earlier) I found out soybean oil, soy oil, and soy lecithin are all ok for soy allergies since they don't have the soy protein. This adds back a handful of products and at this point, I'll take anything I can get! Eating as a family. Sunday, November 15, 2009. Tori update.it's been awhile. We finally tried teaching Tori sign language this weekend. We'd show her how to make the more sign between every bite. She hates us! We tried it every meal on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. She would get so upset when we would make her do it. She basically cried between every bite. So we threw in the towel. Next weekend is another weekend. On a similar eating note, eating is so much fun with her now! We give her everything! She's 17 lbs, 7 oz...

Sunday, January 16, 2011. Since her 24 month check up is in 3 weeks, I am WAAAYYY late at updating you on Tori's 21 month check up. Here we go! Height - 32 inches (40%). Weight - 21 lbs, 9oz (8%). Since it was so long ago, I can't recall exactly what was going on then. So in lieu of the usual post, I'm just going to share some more pictures from that time! Halloween. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Tori's 18 month check-up. Height - 31 1/2 in (50%). Weight - 20 lbs. 15 oz. (8%). I almost forgot the singing! She is developing quite the passion for song. So should I continue to make egg and wheat free chicken cutlets (rice flour and buttermilk), wheat free broccoli rice and cheese casserole, and wheat and egg free meatloaf in the hopes that one day she will join us or cook things the way I know how to cook them and re-visit this later? Friday, January 8, 2010. Tori just this week decided she's done with baby food. They wanted to switch her over to finger foods at daycare anyway to get her ready for the next room. Do you guys have any unique ideas for meals I can send to daycare? Here are some things I have so far. Pasta (we use the Muellers garden delight pasta.made w/ veggies! Fruit (although we still have to experiment with this one). Yogurt (clearly not a finger food but they will feed her that). Anything else you can think of?
