We finally got to meet the mysterious Gatsby, whose first name is Jay. I feel like this is not your typical 1920's first name. He is a very very wealthy man and judging by the description of his home, he has a very rich taste in decor. I keep picturing his massive mansion beside Nick Carraway's tiny rental home. Monday, May 25, 2009. Our English class was treated to a private concert today from Juno Nominee Joel Plaskett. Students listened to a 45 minute workshop with Joel Plaskett, Anna Egge, and Rose Cousins at the Park Playhouse in downtown Cobourg. We were then given the chance to ask questions to the musicians. Thanks to the Shelter Valley Folk Festival for inviting us and picking up the bill so our students could have this great learning experience. Thursday, May 21, 2009.
