Since only a handful of us go to the Outer Banks for Easter, we had not seen most of these relatives since our wedding in the summer of 2005! It was the first time we ever met little Robert. Ron and Kelly's 2007 AT thruhike. Friday, August 17, 2007. We could smell when we were getting close to the Mohoosuc portion of the Appalachian Trail. Then we started the notch, and saw the moose after about five minutes of rock scrambling. Even with cream under our noses and bandanas covering our faces, gag reflexes were triggered.
