New Certificate wizard in Skype for Business | UCsteve's blog
https://ucsteve.com/2015/05/03/new-certificate-wizard-in-skype-for-business
My thoughts in an interconnected UC world. New Certificate wizard in Skype for Business. Whilst generating the certificate for a new Skype pool I discovered the new certificate request wizard has changed. Pressing Advanced brings up the previous wizard menus that allow offline submissions, alternative credentials and templates along with adding SAN entries to the request and allowing export of private key. After hitting next it continues as it did in Lync deployments. May 3, 2015. Mark Vale's Blog.

My thoughts in an interconnected UC world. ADFS and 3rd party MFA integration tip. Securing access to authentication provided through ADFS is important and whilst Microsoft’s Azure MFA services will integrate perfectly with it many organisations choose to use utilise their existing MFA solution of which there are a number supported by Microsoft – https:/ technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn758113.aspx. Plus others that aren’t certified. 1) Install the MFA agent on Primary ADFS server. 5) Repeat steps 2...

http://blog.markhatton.co.uk/2011/03/15/regular-expressions-for-ip-addresses-cidr-ranges-and-hostnames
Speaking personally, unconnected with my employer. Regular expressions for IP addresses, CIDR ranges and hostnames. 15th March, 2011. But I don’t want to go looking for them again, and I think they will be useful to the wider community, so here they are. Remember that these all have to be entered on one line. You can test them out in your browser using the excellent Regex Pal. 0-9] [1-9][0-9] 1[0-9]{2} 2[0-4][0-9] 25[0-5]) .){3}([0-9] [1-9][0-9] 1[0-9]{2} 2[0-4][0-9] 25[0-5])$. 25[0-5] 2[0-4]d 1dd [1-9]?

My thoughts in an interconnected UC world. Skype for Business Addressbook Normalization. The use of regular expressions for dialling and address book normalization have been long been established in the Microsoft Communications product line, but they are not always the easiest rules to construct and then test, especially when doing more advanced manipulation. Https:/ greiginsydney.com/vale-company phone number normalization rules/. Additionally, as blogged by Ken Lesko. Well, I’ve prepared a sample...

My thoughts in an interconnected UC world. Skype Hybrid – Connecting to Online. Skype for Business Server has brought in limited connectivity between on-premise hybrid deployments and their Skype Online counterparts via the Skype for Business Control Panel. Now, on the home screen you have the option to log into Office 365, in Lync integration to Office 365 was via powershell only. And then you get confirmation. You can change the account you’ve signed into if need be. May 4, 2015. Mark Vale's Blog.

My thoughts in an interconnected UC world. Testing SMTP connectivity between On-premise Exchange and Exchange Online. Having recently been troubleshooting a customers hybrid Exchange environment I thought I’d write about my experience. The customer had an Exchange 2010 deployment and the Hybrid Configuration Wizard had already been run but they were having mail flow problems from their On-Prem to Online mailboxes. Our IP address is blacklisted, opps! Email was still not flowing and building up in the que...

Starting a Skype for Business pool | UCsteve's blog
https://ucsteve.com/2015/05/04/starting-a-skype-for-business-pool
My thoughts in an interconnected UC world. Starting a Skype for Business pool. Starting a Skype pool for the first time now requires the use of the powershell command, start-cspool rather than clicking start services in the deployment wizard. It will then go through the process of starting the pool, during this time it might report issues and delays but that it to be expected during startup and placement of routing groups. Here are a few screenshots of the process. May 4, 2015. Mark Vale's Blog.
