We had some really exciting experiences during the trip including getting splashed with water in the London ********, taking a gruesome walking tour of Jack The Ripper's murder spots and zooming down the Thames at 40 km/hr! Saturday, March 28, 2015. In an earlier post about my SPIN1038 work experience I remarked on how I met Andy Clarke. Just to re-cap, Andy is the station manager of FRQ.fm (pronounced 'FREAK'). The online-only station is used as a training ground for budding radio presenters. These presenters may go on to present on one of the Communicorp stations. Week 1 (1st - 5th December 2014). I intend to do my first week of work experience in East Coast FM, Wicklow's only local radio station. Radio is an area that I'm extremely interested in , in fact, I run my own internet radio station (find it here). So I jumped at the opportunity to get to go to a radio station. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Bright and early, we ventured forth across the Liffey to the Phoenix Park. After about an hour, we reached Dublin Zoo. It was back to the 'Meerkat Cafe' for lunch, while we watched the playful creatures mess and fight. After taking numerous pictures, we went across to the lions, tigers and wild cats. I'm the managing director of Memor Trading. We are involved in the production and design of fridge magnets with Irish proverbs on them. Our plan is to sell them to parents at the school Bazaar in December, sell them at Christmas markets and supply them to a number of Irish retailers. In the company with me are Liam Noonan, Saoirse Lawlor and Daniel Power. Of our profits will be donated to Age Action Ireland. In addition to this, we will be selling stands for phones/tablets at the bazaar.
