Eu, de minha parte, ainda quero experimentar outros, apesar de o Generation ser o meu preferido - por enquanto. Gostaria de falar também sobre Toss the feathers. É uma música que tenho querido tocar desde que me interessei por música irlandesa, é é agora que decidi começar com ela - só me arrependo de não ter começado antes!

27 de abr de 2008. O Mellow D tem um som bonito e aconchegante, um pouco diferente do Generation, por exemplo. Isso se deve ao seu formato: o diâmetro da haste é ligeiramente mais largo que o dos tin whistles comuns (diz-se no site que isso serve para se evitar os sons estranhos causados por excessos de ar). Eu fiz um teste de medidas. Para você ter uma idéia, o Generation coube dentro do Mellow D! Amostra de som do Generation Niquelado D. Amostra de som do Waltons Mellow D. Os arquivos são em formato WMA.

23 de fev de 2008. Recebi meu whistle Generation esta semana. Não tive muito tempo de tocá-lo ainda, mas ao tocá-lo já percebi as diferenças entre ele e meus outros whistles. Seu som é bem mais agudo (acho que alguns chamam isso de puro. E precisa de uma quantidade de ar moderada ao ser tocado, nem muito nem pouco.
