Urban Renewal in Nicaragua. History of La Chureca. La Chureca is the municipal dump in the city of Managua, Nicaragua. It is an open air dump, with much of the runoff from it speeping in to Lake Managua, its self polutted by many things (including mercury dumped by Kodak in the 50’s and 60’s).
