The Gelfand Correspondence Program in Mathematics (GCPM) is a correspondence program in mathematics at Rutgers University directed by Professors R. Wilson and I. Gelfand, a world-renowned mathematician. GCPM is for students who want to have a better understanding of math and to enjoy it. HOW DOES GCPM WORK? After enrollment you will receive three books: Functions and Graphs. GCPM is very flexible.

Books and Assignments used in GCPM. The educational materials for GCPM consist of books and assignments written for the program by I. Gelfand and his colleagues. Three books are currently being used in GCPM:. Two of these books, Functions and Graphs. And Method of Coordinates. These books have been translated into many languages and are used in schools throughout the world. The English translations, published in 1990 in Birkhauser. Are now used in GCPM. The third book, Algebra. The Method of Coordinates.
