Any past papers that you see have earlier years but this is because those were for the old version of the specification. What will the GCSE exams be like? Saturday, Jun 6 2009. You have three exams. They will each take 1 1/4 hours. They have between 50 and 54 marks per paper. This means you’ll want to take about 1.5 mins per mark i.e. if it’s a 5 mark question, spend about 7 minutes. Think about whether you necessarily need to spend 9 marks on a describe the key features question though. Ask yourself if you could do this one a little faster? Your first exam will be the International Relations and USA paper. It’s 2 hours long. It will cover a range of issues across the period on both topic areas.
