http://outandbackagain.blogspot.com/2013/03/tiger-mountain-west.html
Out and Back Again. Friday, March 15, 2013. Another weekend back home in the Seattle area made for another opportunity to hike a local hill. Last Saturday morning I went out with my father and brother to hike Tiger Mountain. Due to time constraints and other obligations we decided on a short trail that would lead to a decent view spot for the effort put in. In ten years or less this hike won't have a view. What is a bug out back? There are a couple of things to remember when making your kits. So the kit. Here is a list of ...

Out and Back Again. Sunday, April 7, 2013. Gear Review: REI's Camp Pack-N-Prep Tote/Table. The REI Camp Pack-N-Prep Tote/Table (yes this is the actually name, not just a description). All this gear used to be in three different places,. Now it is all together and ready in a flash. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gear Review:...

Out and Back Again: Forest Service
http://outandbackagain.blogspot.com/2010/08/forest-service.html
Out and Back Again. Friday, August 20, 2010. The office had other maps that were made by 3rd parties as well. I bought the National Geographic map of. Yellowstone Park. I like using these maps for well established trails. They provide topographical lines as well as other landmarks. Another reason I like getting the National Geo maps, they are water proof and tear resistant. The nice lady that helped me with my maps also gave me a card with the web address for downloading maps. If you go here. Solo hike t...

Out and Back Again: Gerber Ax Saw Combo
http://outandbackagain.blogspot.com/2011/03/gerber-ax-saw-combo.html
Out and Back Again. Sunday, March 13, 2011. Gerber Ax Saw Combo. Here is a quick review of the Gerber Gator Axe 2. That I got for Christmas. I used the ax on my winter camping trip to Maple Canyon and have since packed it into my family 72 hour kit. This ax is unique in that it has a small, but very sharp, saw that hides in the synthetic handle. The sheath, also included, is made of durable nylon and has belt and hanging loops. Loop I installed to secure saw in handle. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
