Digital Butterflies: Post Crit...
http://alexbucktin202.blogspot.com/2009/02/post-crit.html
Sunday, 8 February 2009. I have listed all the advice given to me from our crit feedback forms;. 1 Focuses for too long on the lines. I have tried to speed up the line movement, so that it doesn't focus on the line for too long, but connects to the genre elements faster. 2 Work on pace. I have tried to adapt the parts that were too quick and parts that were too slow, so that they fit better with the overall animation. 3 Make the animation shorter. 4 Add sound to strengthen image. I hope that I have addre...

ANAND YR 02: July 2009

DESIGN PRACTICE AND ONGOING DEVELOPMENT OF MY WORK. Friday, 3 July 2009. I have changed the colour of the type on the arm of the devil character, so it is not as noticeable as the black and white variations used previously, i have left the drop shadow effect so that it blends in more with the red used for the character. Here is another variation where i have used a drop shadow effect on the text which makes it look more like a double lined shading effect on a tattoo. Wednesday, 1 July 2009.

Emma Butler: October 2007
http://emma-butler.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 17 October 2007. The complexity of this image is quite enaging with the eye.Theres so much going on with in the piece is difficult to tell whats going on. The quirky characters create this entertwined, complex image that is enhanced with colour. Each character seems to have its own identity which is reflected throughout the image. For The Love Of God. For the love of god.'. This piece creates controversy on so may levels but doesn't it just make it so much better? As quoted by adapter:. It als...

Emma Butler: March 2008

Sunday, 23 March 2008. Sardines' by Ruth Martin. The sardines book has this really interesting format firstly it appears to be a small concertina book but when it is completely folded out it becomes a flat poster-like book. Chip Shop Choices' by Ruth Martin. I like the way that the book opens as if it were a parcel of fish and chips, it fits its content well. Pix ‘n’ Mix by Ruth Martin. Friday, 21 March 2008. Thursday, 20 March 2008. Anwen Williams: the gig book. Of being in the. I also like the use of m...

Tuesday, 25 November 2008. Evaluation for Design for Print. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them? I also feel that I have more of an awareness for colour methods and what to take in to consideration when designing something on screen and then taking it in to print. Also it was useful to find out how much printing costs are and summing up how much it would cost to print such a product, which proved to be quite costly in some cases. First...

ANAND YR 02: August 2009

DESIGN PRACTICE AND ONGOING DEVELOPMENT OF MY WORK. Friday, 14 August 2009. SUMMERSET set of 4. This shows some of the steps i took to create the new template. The embossing was not as successful as i had expected it to be, as it was too subtle and could only be noticed when looked at closely. I then decided to make an embossing template for the logo so that it would be a nice way to subtle include it on the print. I used printed 10 prints with a purple/blue/silver/sky blue gradient. NEW screen print idea.
