Exploitation of the results and IPR issues. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a movement disorder caused by the slow progressive degeneration of dopaminergic (DA) neurons in the substantia nigra. Modern medicine still cannot cure the disease or slow down its progression. Only symptomatic treatments are currently available. As a starting point of this project we had a set of chemical compounds, able to activate GDNF receptors and intracellular signaling. Annual newsletter no. 2 (20.4.2016).
