Gear Head Works, LLC started off as a part time adventure with a single part that was made in a home work shop from wood. The concept gained attention locally so a machined aluminum version was made. From there, national and international attention turned into demand and before long it was being manufactured. That part is the Aug charging handle seen at the top of the page.

The 55oz rail is machined from billet aluminum and hard anodized MIL-A-8625 F(1), Type III, Class II black. The low profile charging handle. We got our start with the Aug and still love it. It is widely accepted as the first commercially successful bullpup and still has a strong following. Where it lacks is strong aftermarket support. That is where we shine. There was a need for Aug parts and we developed some of the most advanced parts available. Fulcrum Located Extra swivel.

Additional USA mounts are in the works including an angled back up sight mount, dedicated scout light mount, sling swivel QD cup and a 1" flashlight mount. Manufacturers interested in adopting the Universal side accessory mounting platform please contact us for specs. The "Universal Side Accessory" mounting system was developed to aide bullpups and other short weapon systems with accessory mounting. One trade off with having short rifles is less rail space. That is no longer an issue.
