The Mighty Linux Blog: Dapper Delayed
http://mightylinux.blogspot.com/2006/03/dapper-delayed.html
Why does nothing rhyme with Linux? Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Now it's official from Mark Shuttleworth: Ubuntu Dapper has been delayed until June. Off the bat, this may sound like a bad thing, but I think it is a good thing. You can read the official announcement here. But I'd like to highlight a few positive improvements that I think are worth the wait. Devote an additional three weeks of bug-fix-only quality assurance time to the release for the core development team. 606 seems more appropriate for July).

Why does nothing rhyme with Linux? Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Google Apps for Linux? It seems that Google is rumored to be working on a Linux version of Picasa, a really nice photo management application. When I was using it on Windows, it was really nice and even had it's own IM client optimized for sharing pictures called Hello. Notice that I didn't use the word. Why does nothing rhyme with Linux? Tuesday, March 21, 2006. One cool new feature in Dapper is a neat-o little tool called NetworkManager, which is geared towrads laptops with wireless connections. It's not so useful for desktops, but on laptops it will be quite useful. Written by Justin @ 3/21/2006 12:24:00 PM Permalink. Tales from the Motherboard. Blogs that link here. Podcasts I Listen To. Why does nothing rhyme with Linux? Thursday, March 23, 2006. Today, I just discovered this really nice web based word processor called ajaxWrite. It is a web application that has a native look an feel (and speed), can edit word .doc files (although no OpenDocument yet) and looks really nice. It's relatively new, so there are bound to be bugs in it. If you have Firefox 1.5, try it out. Written by Justin @ 3/23/2006 12:58:00 PM Permalink. Tales from the Motherboard. Blogs that link here.

Why does nothing rhyme with Linux? Wednesday, March 29, 2006. I Got a Nice Letter Today. Today I opened my mailbox and, what did I find? I found a letter from Microsoft. I opened it up and found a nice little sheet of paper about a class action lawsuit against Microsoft. They are going to pay me for each copy of Windows/Office that I bought from 1994-2004. They will pay me:. 12 for every copy of Windows 95, 98, 98 SE, or Millennium. 5 for every other version of Windows (including MS-DOS). Tuesday, March ...

Why does nothing rhyme with Linux? Sunday, July 31, 2005. I'm back from my vacation, and I found something interesting while I was there. I was in the Gift Shop across the street from my hotel. I peered at the beanie babies section, and I found a little penguin. Curious, I picked him up and looked at his tag. His name is, you guessed it, TUX! Written by Justin @ 7/31/2005 09:42:00 AM Permalink. Monday, July 25, 2005. I'll be on vacation for the next week. Don't expect any new posts until I get back.

The Sound of Data. The Sound of Data. Posted by Steven Garrity. Thursday, January 13, 2005. Spurred on by a recent weekend full of hot-tub induced dehydration, beer, and lack of sleep, some friends of mine discovered an interesting (I think, I at least) capability of the command line computer interface. Prepare to be. As I wrote briefly about last year. It would take the output of the whois. Lookup for that domain name and open it in gedit, a text editor. Let me explain: cat. Ls -R / aplay. Command displ...

Why does nothing rhyme with Linux? Thursday, September 29, 2005. TLLTS TV Coming Soon? When The Linux Link website was started back in 2001 (at least, according to the Wayback machine) they were planning on doing a magazine or newsletter. But that never really picked up. In 2003, they started doing TLLTS, and just recently finished their 100th episode. Now, what's next? Stay tuned for an announcement in the near future! I hope you only release them in theora :).
