Nostalgia | The Unlikely Poet

The words we leave behind…. April 1, 2015. I asked you why your heart was beating so fast. My head on your chest I sank into every breath. I soon forgot everything else. No pressure, no harm. Just truth and respect. I took your hand. Till the sun cam back around. This entry was tagged art. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. The words we leave behind…. I don’t think I can. October 17, 2016. Hoping for a touch, longing for a kiss. Daydreaming the hours away. In love with the thought of anyone I can miss. Holding onto memories, faded hopes, missed opportunities. Wondering why is it just me. No one notices or sees. Why am I not the girl the guy pours his heart out to. The one he holds out hope for. Tearing himself in two. Why am I so sold on the idea of falling in love. Chasing through my mind for the one. Who fits like a glove.

The words we leave behind…. More than she deserves. On and on it goes. June 4, 2015. There was no sound. He pulled me in and wrapped his arms around. Closer. I felt a pressure in my chest. My head drawn to his shoulder begging for a rest. Struggling for breath, he leaves his finger prints on my neck. His lips draw close and I’m a wreck. All alone here in the dark. He’s breaking me down as he carves his mark. His hands glide and curl around my hair. Yet against my clothes they scratch and tear.

The words we leave behind…. Another Day →. June 1, 2015. It doesn’t call out. Nor demand your eye. It captures your gaze. Lighting the darkest skies. In only the brightest of ways. Just like she does. No ways to explain. Without the need for thunder or rain. This entry was tagged art. Another Day →. One thought on “ The Silent Storm. June 1, 2015 at 2:57 am. The words we leave behind…. The Perfect Storm →. June 1, 2015. Where ever you tread. I’ll mend your heart. Even after all it has bled. I’ll lay with you, we can start again. I can rewind it all. And erase the pain. I can lift her finger prints. I’ve always been too subtle. Yet i’m casting out my hints. I’m not perfect but I can make you smile. I know thats something. You haven’t done in a while. I can make you see the good once again. I can restore the calm. Pull you back from memory lane.
