I finally found a decent algorithm forcreating a voxel world. No it’s not Perlin- or simplex-baeed, just a plasma map. It still needs work, of course, but running through it with a basic character does gives a sense of satisfaction. My first post in two years. o.O. So I’m testing a bit of code I encountered regarding procedural meshes, creating shapes directly into UE4 by just loading cube geometry from this nice little voxel program called MagicaVoxel. Our podcast to chew over the geeky things we love. We consider movies and television a productive use of our time. We have always been huge book nerds, both independently and together. We love comic books and comic book scholarship. Podcasts have largely replaced music in our listening library, and podcasting seemed like a great way to take the time to consider what we love about all of these things. So this is GeekChew.
