Maybe I am just slowing up. I hate to think that turning 80 in April somehow was a milestone that means one is supposed to be slowing down. During the off season we all have found activities to keep us fit and to prepare for another season. Frank may well be ahead of us with his new Skier's Edge machine. It was a strange mid February ski day at Greek Peak. In the midst of President's Week vacation the area has been struck with rain and near 70 F temperatures. Only a small number of brave souls were out on the slopes. I think I was the only geezer there. There is an old joke about a farmer inheriting a fortune who was asked, "How long will you keep farming?

COME RIDE WITH US AND CHECK US OUT. We are a bunch of old farts, and old farts in training (the younger members) who just like to ride. We don’t allow crotch rockets, knee draggers, organ donors, wall paper and any other name for the bikes requires their riders to lean over the gas tank, and show the world the backside! They have a place, like we all do on the road, but that place isn’t with us! We are by no means an outlaw group! Most of us are too old to be outlaws anymore!

I don't like to be called a "Baby Boomer." I prefer "Geezer." One is a Boomer simply because of date of birth. One must earn the title Geezer by attitude and outlook, as well as age.
