Tuesday, November 29, 2011. We had an amazing time in New York City! I have Alicia Key's "New York" song running through my head. You should listen to the song if you've never heard it. J and I love that song and NYC! Here are the words and pictures that tell about our trip:. Umbrellas, rain, and did I say cold? Anniversary, LOVE, gift. For me, the highlight of the trip was getting to be on The Late Show with David Letterman! Can you beleive it? This trip was FULL of gifts from the Lord.. Today I turned...

http://aboyagirlandapromise.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 30, 2011. This weekend started out great! I just finished up all of my Fall conferences with parents and was also recovering from a bad cold I fought all last week. What a better way to celebrate than going out with great friends! We had such a great time with our good friends as we ate at The Fish (a sushi restaurant) in Midtown. After dinner we walked around town a bit and then had delicious crepes for dessert! Vanilla cupcakes with Fall colored sprinkles. Corn Dip with Fritos Scoops.

Monday, May 9, 2011. The Nations. Here. Now. The guest speaker that night was Semse Aydin. She shared the story of how her beloved husband - her coworker in missions and the father of her children - was put to death in 2007 by radical Muslims in the Middle East. She now serves with Bridges in America. I tried to get a picture of the whole pool, but just got a corner of it! It was a beautiful home. Links to this post. We started the day off with a 15 mile bike ride. So out of all his hobbies I chose road ...

Monday, March 26, 2012. I first heard of this term, Shoulder-To-Shoulder Time, at a marrriage conference my husband and I attended a few years ago. Please ignore the photo in which I have no make-up on.I just thought it was a good shoulder-to-shoulder pic! As soon as there were words put to this, it made perfect sense. After all, my husband loves to share this with me, so it was not unfamiliar to say the least. I was just glad to have words to describe it. It doesn't even have to be anything big! I know ...

A Boy, a Girl, and a Promise...: April 2011
http://aboyagirlandapromise.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 12, 2011. A few weekends ago John and I had the opportunity to join in with some friends from our Bible study class and serve people from our community who need help. This is always a sacrifice to give up your Saturday and get up early to go do hard work! Being a teacher and not having kids yet, I definitly love my Saturday morning sleep in time! Every year though, I am blown away at how much of a blessing it is to me to go and serve. Was that a big job! Links to this post. Here is our flo...
