Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog: It's About Time
http://crassiart.blogspot.com/2012/11/its-about-time.html
Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog. Fine Art Views, and paintings. Thursday, November 8, 2012. It's been just over a year since my last post so it's about time I update you on my yearly adventures. Maternity leave is up and I had one major art event since then where five new peices were featured in a group event at The Stall Gallery for the National Parking Day celebration. The parking stalls down the street were closed off and decorated by street vendors and business owners. It was pretty awesome. Architecture...

Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog. Fine Art Views, and paintings. Friday, July 1, 2011. Thanks for All The Fish. Interestingly, when the picture of the prototype (the left hand picture) was revealed for the potential candidate for the final painting, one of my elementary teachers liked it so much that she bought the prototype off of me too! Crystal, I LOVE this painting! July 3, 2011 at 4:24 PM. It was truly a pleasure, Margi! I think I might just make a print for myself:). July 4, 2011 at 11:10 PM. Influentia...

Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog: Forget Me Not
http://crassiart.blogspot.com/2010/10/forget-me-not.html
Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog. Fine Art Views, and paintings. Sunday, October 24, 2010. Here is my latest in my architectural series. It's an ancient silo crumbling in the midst of a feild of Forget-Me-Not flowers. It personifies what I think is a universal thought. As we age we go through many experiences that shape who we are and we pray that we are not forgotten during any point during our lives or thereafter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog. Fine Art Views, and paintings. Monday, October 3, 2011. Priorities, Sacrifice, and Art. On August 12th, 2011, my little Samson was born. That makes, two boys and two adults in a 750 square foot house with two miniscule bedrooms and awkwardly set up main space in our 100 year old house. Both my husband and I are artists. I paint. He writes and plays music and we've run out of space in our house to do either. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Archite...

Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog: You Didn't Do It
http://crassiart.blogspot.com/2012/11/you-didnt-do-it.html
Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog. Fine Art Views, and paintings. Wednesday, November 21, 2012. You Didn't Do It. How many times have you looked at a piece of "art" and said "I could that! Or "My kid could do that", and became jealous that the artwork was selling for half a million dollars? The fact is - you didn't do it. If you want to sell you work for that price range than you need to just start working at it. Doing = success. Because I didn't work hard enough to make more. Why? Keep up the good work! Archi...

Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog: Plan B
http://crassiart.blogspot.com/2012/11/plan-b.html
Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog. Fine Art Views, and paintings. Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Not so long ago, Jack White wrote an article for FASO. About falling into the trap of " Plan B. This is not just detrimental to artists but many people wanting to fulfill a financial dream based on the things they love to do. Plan B is supposed to be our fallback just in case Plan A fails. Sounds like safe thoughtful way to go.or is it? Does Plan B continually set us up for failure? What if we reversed Plan A and B?

Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog: The Trinity - triple time
http://crassiart.blogspot.com/2011/10/trinity-triple-time.html
Crystal Rassi Fine Art Blog. Fine Art Views, and paintings. Thursday, October 13, 2011. The Trinity - triple time. So, here they are. The Trinity. Finally. I was approached by Ebeneezer Baptist Church three years ago for this commission and I estimated a time frame of about three months to completion. Each piece is 36" x 60" and I didn't anticipate the amount of distractions I would have with family and another full time job. Perhaps those are just excuses. Labels: Ebeneezer Baptist church.
