The town of Kanosh was originally settled in 1854 by Mormon colonists from the nearby town of Petersburg (now called Hatton). Named after the Pahvant leader Kanosh, the town was formally incorporated in 1901. Local points of interest include Corn Creek, Adelaide Campground, the Cove Fort historical site, and the Paiute ATV Trail. More information is available at the Kanosh Mercantile.
