It's A Confidence Thing - Geoff In The Morning

It's A Confidence Thing - Geoff In The Morning. It's A Confidence Thing. It's A Confidence Thing. Apr 18th, 2007 @ 10:27 pm. Have you ever watched someone who's really good at something do whatever it is that they do? It doesn't matter what it is that they do, they all have something in common with one another: they all believe that they can do whatever it is that they're trying to do. Basically, I think it's just a matter of how fast the person starts to believe that they can do it. Perhaps a common mis...
Lest We Forget - Geoff In The Morning

Lest We Forget - Geoff In The Morning. Apr 25th, 2007 @ 11:55 pm. Today, in Australia, is Anzac Day. More than just a public holiday, it's a time when the nation remembers the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who have found and died in the wars of the 20th Century. Over the next eight months, over 8,000 Australians and 2,700 New Zealanders would die at Gallipoli. In the end, the Commonwealth forces abandoned their positions, having achieved nothing in the way over military significance. It had a profo...

Talkback Time - Geoff In The Morning. Apr 14th, 2007 @ 10:10 pm. But it's been three years since I started this column. I haven't always written as much as I had originally intended, but this year I seem to have made some inroads into improving that situation and I'm hoping from here on out that I can put up a new column at least weekly. But in honour of the anniversary, I'd like to ask: what does it mean to you, dear reader? Or are my columns just the insane ramblings of an eccentric mind?
Where do thoughts come from? - Geoff In The Morning
https://geoffinthemorn.livejournal.com/7883.html
Where do thoughts come from? Geoff In The Morning. Where do thoughts come from? Where do thoughts come from? May 3rd, 2007 @ 12:06 am. Where do ideas come from? When I'm writing, what part of me comes up with the words to type? Sometimes, it feels as though there's someone else trapped inside my brain, trying to find an opening to come out and be heard. There might be something in that, too. In her book, The Journey from Abandonment to Healing. Are our thoughts the same thing? I know that in the past I'v...

Scribbles on a Page - Geoff In The Morning. Scribbles on a Page. Scribbles on a Page. Jul 4th, 2007 @ 11:06 pm. The Written Word. Have you ever stopped to wonder about how what are essentially random squiggles on a page or a computer screen can suddenly take on so much meaning? It's made me stop and think about what it is that I do so much about. How do I see the words written in front of me and instinctively know what it is that the author is trying to say? Heck, some cultures use a form of written symb...

Oh Sooole Miiiooo…. It’s been awhile, here we go. The entirety of last week we spent in Italy. We spent 4 days in Rome, 2 in Naples, and 2 in Florence. In Rome we saw tons of ancient architecture, from the Colosseum. We also saw the Vatican. Including St. Peters. And The Sistine Chapel. We also saw tons of Bernini. And other ninja turtles. In Naples we took the train to Pompeii. And spent a day there exploring the 200 acres of ruins, and the next day visited the Isle of Capri. Flying around the Tuscan.

GeoffinSchool « Thoughts on innovation in educational leadership
Thoughts on innovation in educational leadership. Wrapping up another year. Where do you agree, or more importantly, disagree with me? 1 Too much of my time as a teacher is spent on administrative tasks. Increasingly technology, which was supposed to make classrooms run more efficiently, is used to shuffle formerly administrative duties onto teachers. 4 Social media (such as this blog! 6 We are too sedentary. My graduate work has begun to coalesce around the significance of nature-based activity on t...

geoff in kenya
Sharing my experiences and reflections on my internships, research projects and now work in East Africa to anyone willing to listen. Monday, March 12, 2012. A more personal update. Most of my post have been somewhat thematic, I guess I haven't talked much about day to day activities and how my life is in Kenya. One question I often get from Kenyans is, "How do you see Kenya? Here is a short jumbled response. To keep in touch with friends here, visit old friends in Tanzania and maybe tour Ethiopia. Whenev...
