In case you're wondering, Gooseberry Mesa is just southeast of Hurricane Utah, east of St. George and just outside of Zion National Park. I've been wanting to ride there since I first heard about it some 8 years ago. The riding there was outstanding - technically challenging and with fantastic scenery. It was an 11-hour drive from Santa Fe and worth every minute of it. Some vandals preceded us:. I was just riding along the rim and...

I rolled up to CDaddy's house, he was ready to go so off we went under blue skies. One water crossing. Kinda scenic. White Mesa is a huge gypsum deposit with some crazy geology. Monday, August 30, 2010. I'm extremely excited because my Magicshine GMG Special 900 Plus. Trail light arrived from Geomangear.com. This is a 900 lumen (rated) Li-ion trail light that will allow me to mountain bike at night, one of the favorite past-times of the Don Rats. This is the first trail light I've ever used, and I'll post a full review of it in a week or so, once I have a couple of rides on it. Until then, happy trails! Fuzzy because I still don't have camera batteries. Wednesday, August 25, 2010.

Barf Sandwich: During....
http://barfsandwich.blogspot.com/2011/01/during.html
Sunday, January 9, 2011. So to tide my faithful readers over until I can post the "after" pics, here are some photos taken during a much-needed hike through Diablo Canyon today. My hiking companions were Todd Glatz and his spawn, the Master of Awesomeness, Conner. We hiked through the slot canyon and headed down the wash towards the Rio Grande. We saw some icicles under a seep in the cliff wall:. Bored with the wash, we decided to scramble up to the top of the mesa. January 9, 2011 at 7:21 PM.
