Geography of the Middle East. Friday, February 20, 2009. We just got back from a convenience store in town, and we bought another case of bottled water! It is so dry here you wouldn't believe it, I miss the rivers so much! I will never take water for granted again, because here in the middle east lack of water is a HUGE deal, they actually start wars over it! This changes the river's paths and cuts off water to some places. I'm just glad I can get a bottle of water and stay out of the conflict!

Geography of the Middle East. Friday, February 20, 2009. 160; Today I decided to visit the Persian Gulf. I wasn't sure abut how to do this: Should I take a tour? Go to a beach? I just couldn't decided how to take in this beautiful area between Iran and the Arabian peninsula. After looking at a pamphlet in my hotel's lobby I decided to take a Ferry out to Kish Island. The ferry ride over was very pretty and long (I was so excited to go swimming! There were so many fish! For more information visit: .
