Welcome to the George and Dragon. Welcome to the website of the George and Dragon. A traditional English pub set in the harbour area of Ilfracombe, North Devon. Jonathan, Linda and staff will give you a warm welcome and hope to make your visit a memorable one. We open from 10am to midnight all week. Classic pub and homemade food is served every day. Regular events run all year, from quizzes to spontaneous acoustic sessions. A favourite of locals and visitors, we welcome dogs and cater for families.

The George and Dragon is situated at the bottom of Fore Street, near to the harbour. It is within a few minutes walking distance of the High Street, seafront and harbour/pier areas. Entrances are in Broad Street, just round the corner. Ferries and pleasure cruisers dock at the pier, a few minutes walk from the pub.

A wide range of bar snacks and home-cooked meals are available every day. We use fresh local produce wherever possible, including vegetables and herbs from our own garden. Food is served Midday - 3:00pm and 6:30pm - 9:00pm. To view our current menu. Along with the standard menu, we have daily specials shown on our chalk boards.
