The past five weeks have taught me a lot, but the title of this blog is the main thing. This has been a real learning experience. My body is never going to be the same again. A blog about managing Crohn's and everything else. May 31, 2012. It takes 6-8 weeks for azathioprine to start making a dent on the actual Crohn’s symptoms. It takes 1-2 weeks for the side effects of azathioprine to kick in. How is that fair? I feel nauseous all the time. You know the way some people can throw up at will? I’m incapable of having a sip of water without needing the loo 10 minutes later. Annoying. Especially at night. Could be worse. Scar tissue being irritated? What pain meds do you use?

After speaking to a pharmacist friend about my reaction to aza with the rash on my abdomen and some unexplained bruising she told me to get in contact with my GI. So I did.
