Praying and waiting to hear from the US embassy this month. Hoping that we will hear from them this week. I am fasting this week, seeking God’s favour in the processing of the fiancée visa. So, I might be here during the kids camp, not sure yet, it all depends on the processing of the visa. Will see and wait. Wi...5 Pla...

Boo: Les Belges
http://pogodna.blogspot.com/2009/05/les-belges.html
Les gens qui ne rient jamais ne sont pas des gens sérieux. Be who you are and say what you mean, those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. It was Warsaw, but now its Brussels, Belgium. I'm tall. And I smile. A lot. View my complete profile. Public speaking, ah the joy. No sister of mine. Marriage according to the Catholic church. The weather in Warsaw. Saturday, May 30, 2009. This is just excellent. In one hand. Genius. Posted by Becca 3:39 pm. Links to this post. Links to this post:.

Expat-Experience: Obstacles
http://expat-experience.blogspot.com/2009/07/obstacles.html
An insider's view of life as an outsider. We originally called Continental Airlines in the United States to work out the details of moving the cats from Zürich to Minneapolis. It was a pretty straight forward process. Mostly because the United States doesn't actually require much in regards to importing house cats. ( Dogs are a different story if you happen across this blog while searching for pet importation information! I know they have their facts wrong, but the effort of arguing with a Swiss clerk wa...

further than the lid of a pot: Last stop: Bangkok
http://jpgreenbaum.blogspot.com/2009/06/last-stop-bangkok.html
Further than the lid of a pot. Saturday, June 27, 2009. I am back in Bangkok, where I began my whole Thailand extravaganza. I'm splurging big time on a hotel at $25/night. In a few hours I will get on a bus to the airport to board a four hour flight to Beijing with a six hour layover and then another 17 hours to New York. Total travel time: 24 hours. I'm going to be ridiculously busy once I get back home, so I have a lot to look forward to. I suppose you will have a different blog? Chiang Mai and onto Pai.

Lovely Dharma - Life in Brazil: Meanwhile Back on the Farm
http://lovelydharma.blogspot.com/2009/05/meanwhile-back-on-farm.html
May 5, 2009. Meanwhile Back on the Farm. Some days are just perfect. The air is crisp and the dry leaves smell a little dusty and the mid-afternoon shadows are long and the light falls just so. Overhead, the João Graveteiro. Has finished his nest. The sticks he used still have green leaves clinging to them. Clever fellow, he knows how to build, but doesn’t seem to know when to stop. Lucky for him all those extra rooms confuse would-be thieves while he stays nicely hidden. Means Lent, and the trees, flush...

Trailing Spouse in Kathmandu: Packers, Forklifts and Saying Goodbye
http://lifeinkathmandu.blogspot.com/2009/07/packers-forklifts-and-saying-goodbye.html
Thursday, July 23, 2009. Packers, Forklifts and Saying Goodbye. The packers swarmed like locusts on our house last week! So I write you from the Embassy CLO office. I'm not quite ready to end this blog! I didn't finish. I have more pictures! So, what to do? When we unpack the computer I'll give myself a few weeks to "finish" and then say Namaste to "Trailing Spouse in Kathmandu". Did you know there are all kinds of services that will print your blog into a book? I can't write any final reflections from w...

Living in Translation: Flawed
http://theshortestfuse.blogspot.com/2009/04/flawed.html
An absurdist's take on the expat life, with emphasis on snark and snacks. Tuesday, April 07, 2009. A friend recently told me that when you make your humiliation part of your creative process, you liberate yourself to, well, create. Hence, here goes my second blog post in all of 2009! Anyway, I'm now building myself a tenuous bridge and gingerly getting over it. Because you know what, being afraid of not being great. I am now hitting the Publish Post button. I am waiting for you to suck some more. Http:/ ...

The Iceland Report: wade
http://icelandreport.blogspot.com/2009/06/wade.html
Blöggt er gests augað. Miðvikudagur, júní 17, 2009. Robert Wade recently published a piece. In Challenge magazine detailing his take on what brought Iceland down. I found it to be a decent read. I like his discussion of economic history, his argument that political corruption was effectively institutionalized by the duopoly of governing parties that ran the country starting in the 1970s, and his retelling of the tale of the Central Bank governor's role in worsening the October 2008 crisis. All this raise...
