Adventures In Asia: February 2009
http://adventuresinasia-maddy.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2009. Phnom Penh, Cambodia. So the past two weeks have been crazy. Not actually, but it's crazy for me to think how much I've experienced and then try to summarize it in a blog post. Therefore, there will be two - one for Cambodia and one for Thailand. That kids everywhere are the same and I know. That I know this, but it took seeing this wall for me to really conceptualize that. People are people everywhere. Wow, the world is so big. Next up, Thailand! Friday, February 13, 2009.

Adventures In Asia: June 2009
http://adventuresinasia-maddy.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2009. So I walk into work yesterday morning and the first thing that my cute, elderly supervisor at the child care center asks me is if I've "heard the news? I say no and then she proceeds to tell me how the King of Pop, dear old Michael Jackson, has DIED. We freak out together for a little bit and she tells me how upset her adult daughter and niece are and how they keep texting her. All the radios here were playing his songs and the bars/clubs dedicated last night to Michael Jackson.

Adventures In Asia: May 2009
http://adventuresinasia-maddy.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2009. Sky High On Rocks and Elephants. Two-day Trek: first to a market, then the elephant ride, a four-hour trek through the jungle, staying overnight in a village, trek back down the next day, river rafting, then river-cruising on a sinking bamboo raft and then back to your hostel. It was fun and I had good people with me, so I enjoyed myself (one guy was from Russia but had done his Masters at UO! Crazy small world again, eh? Ger, I'm beginning to sound like you with all my "eh"s).

Adventures In Asia: April 2009
http://adventuresinasia-maddy.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 6, 2009. Thursday afternoon I took a cab straight to the airport from school and met up with Karlijn and Gerrit (my two absolute favorite people here) and we flew to Jakarta. This turned out to be a pretty crazy trip. I had a revelation about a day in where it just like, "Maddy. This would NOT have been okay with you three months ago. I think we're growing here, girl.". I'm so lucky to know such good people all over the world. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Adventures In Asia: December 2008
http://adventuresinasia-maddy.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 4, 2008. So I am about to take off on an epic 8 month adventure! On January 1st I am leaving to study abroad at the National University of Singapore for spring semester and then hopefully do an internship in Malaysia next summer. I currently have a one-way ticket because the internship has not been confirmed so I don't know when I will be leaving to come back to the states. I realize that this post is full of "hopefullys" and unconfirmed plans but I think that that is one of the things...
