August 3, 2006. Filed under: Desserts and Snack. 8212; quirkycook @ 4:21 pm. I modified my Fruit Smoothie recipe from the other day to lower the calories. The following recipe makes 2 large servings and each serving is about 50 calories (depends on what type of fruit you use). I made mine with diet Lemonade (Crystal Light brand) and it was great. 4 Packets Sugar-free sweetner (like Splenda or Equal). 1/2 cup Strawberries, quartered with the stems and hulls removed*. 1 medium peach, skinned and pitted*.

Quirky Cook | I love to write and I love to cook. So here\’s my blog! | Page 2

August 10, 2006. Filed under: Main Dish. 8212; quirkycook @ 10:33 pm. I have written about Beef Ribs. So now I need to write about Pork Ribs. After seasoning my pork ribs, I slow cooked them in the oven. These were supper simple and very yummy. Turn oven temperature up to Broil. Brush barbecue sauce generously over ribs. Return ribs, uncovered to oven. Let cook until sauce begins to bubble and caramelize, about 5 minutes. Serve immediately. August 8, 2006. 8212; quirkycook @ 9:42 pm. Bacon Ranch Pea Salad.

Honey Mustard Vinegrette | Quirky Cook

September 10, 2006. 8212; quirkycook @ 8:11 pm. I have been trying to eat more nutritiously by eating more salad. But as we all know, salad dressing, and it’s high fat content, can ruin the most nutritious salad. I have been good by eating fat free Italian dressing but that gets kind of boring after a while. So I came up with a good variation that adds no fat (but a few more calories). 1 1/2 tablespoon fat free Italian salad dressing. 1/4 tablespoon Dijon mustard. Mix well. Serve. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard.

July 19, 2006. Filed under: Main Dish. 8212; quirkycook @ 9:52 pm. I love barbecued ribs–beef or pork. And I got lucky this week and found some beef ribs really cheap. Cost less than 10 dollars for 4 servings. 1 cup chili powder. 1 tablespoon dried minced garlic. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt. 2 tablespoons seasoning salt. Corn on the Cob. 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice. Remove husks from corn and clean...
