Lastly, we ended with a Lambrusco La Battagliola, Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC, Emilia-Romagna 2011 paired with a cured meat (saucisson). Italy has transformed the quality of Lambrusco, which was a major surprise to many of us who were used to drinking Lambrusco’s back in the 70’s! It wasn’t until 1995 when the Italians imported their first dry DOC Lambrusco to the United States. Posted at 06:14 PM in Events.
