Jan 2015 - Diamond Jubilee. Jan 2015 - Diamond Jubilee. GE Starr has now traded for 60 years. The original Starr Engineering Co. was established by the late Graham Starr specialising in press tooling manufacture and general engineering. The company has developed and grown over the last 60 years, changing to GE Starr Ltd in 1975. The company is still owned by the Starr family and currently manufactures metal pressings. Welded and riveted assemblies. Welded and riveted assemblies. Our assembly expertise lies in small batch size hand built assemblies. Up to 2500 per month. Our assembly work is produced using in house produced mild steel pressings or stainless steel pressings and quality outsourced parts which are then assembled on site in our purpose built assembly area. Drilling, tapping and reaming. Spot welding and projection welding. Castings gravity, pressure die and investment. Paint - e-coat or powder.

For metal pressings and assemblies that will be manufactured in house at GE Starr our service includes the design and supply of press tooling, jigs and fixtures. We will use our considerable experience to determine the most economic operation line up based on your volume. All repairs and servicing of customer owned tooling are undertaken in our own fully equipped tool room and most tools are maintained as part of the price package. Single or multiple prototypes.
