What with the number of cats around, I cannot imagine that there is much of a call for rat poison – but perhaps there is. In all the time I have been in Morocco I have only seen one rat – dead anyway – and possibly two mice – also dead. 2 thoughts on “ Rat. December 29, 2007 at 10:04 pm. The House in Marrakech. Life in Derb Djedid. November 30, 2007. December 1, 2007. The door on the left is actually a very bright turquoise – didn’t come out in the photo. However, what one really notices is that everything is so saturated with color that it dazzles the eyes. Most of the buildings have metal grills for security but they are a sort of decorative element too. I was hanging round waiting for the bus very early in the morning after buying small pastries at the only shop open. November 27, 2007.
