Tilt Mania is a little arcade game I wrote which uses the sudden motion sensor (SMS) of modern apple laptops. It's similar to BubbleGym. In that it uses the computer itself as an input device, however it is freeware. You need an apple laptop with a sudden motion sensor (post 2005-ish). Play by tilting your computer. Big scores are good. Low scores are bad. Get big scores. Do whatever you want. If you do, tell me if you feel nice. Oh, and give me credit. DON'T COME COMPLAINING WHEN YOU BREAK YOUR COMPUTER.

Take me straight to the interactive version! You've seen them before, those patterns of light dancing on pool bottoms. They're called caustics. And are caused by the refraction of light rays as they travel through the surface of the water. The images on this page were generated in a caustic simulator I wrote in Processing. You can generate your own below). The surface of the "water" is randomly generated Perlin noise. Note the rainbow patterns at the edges of the bright bands, caused by dispersion.
