GET ME TO MALAWI! My Elective Midwifery Placement in Malawi. This hospital has 2 postnatal wards, each of which has 50 beds on each. And they have a grand total of 4 midwives to staff both wards. Like in the antenatal ward, the midwives don’t go to the women, the women come to them in the treatment room. The post c/s women come and queue up for their postnatal examination and wound cleaning I have yet to see what the day 1’s do are they expected to get up and queue with the others?
