Is dealt with by the use of an EN353/2 guided type fall arrestor that has been specially adapted and tested to give greater freedom of movement to the user when working within the confines of a cradle or work basket. The automatic descender device is certified to EN341 and descent is controlled by centrifugal braking.

Picture 1 shows the cradle and concrete beam supporting frame work. (A substantial structure). Picture 2 shows the frame work with the support chains attached, which were designed to support the concrete beams whilst the repair work was to be undertaken. This was to eliminate the risk of the beam collapsing whilst the operatives were carrying out the structural repairs.
